When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available HERE. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Visitors can choose to subscribe to Australia by Red Nomad OZ email updates via a service delivered by Specific Feeds. To activate this service, an email address (no name is required) is submitted which takes the user to a consent page allowing customisation of type and frequency of updates the user wishes to receive.  The email address and preferences are then stored for the purpose of providing the updates you have requested via email. Information automatically collected about you

This includes information that is automatically stored by cookies and other session tools. For example, your shopping cart information, your IP address, your shopping history (if there is any) etc. This information is used to improve your customer experience. When you use our services or look at the contents of our website, your activities may be logged.  By using this website you consent to the use of this information.

Australia by Red Nomad OZ uses Google Analytics to provide reports about website traffic and web page usage which we use to identify improvements to site content and structure.

Social Media sharing buttons are provided through the Sassy Social Share Plugin, developed by Heateor.  Heateor plugins do not track or store user data, however if you choose to share content via a Sassy Social Share Button you may be taken to a third party site (eg Facebook, Twitter etc).  You should check the privacy policies of individual Social Media sites you choose to use in this way.

Media Files

We generally use original media files either uploaded direct to our website or linked and/or embedded from other websites such as our Flickr account.  Non-original media files from other sites or sources are identified as such.  If you choose to click on any media files on our website, you may be taken to other websites from which the files are sourced or to which the files are linked.  You should review the privacy policies of those websites if you have any concerns.

We do our best to keep your Personal Data safe.  We use safe protocols for communication and transferring data (such as HTTPS). We use anonymising and pseudonymising where suitable. We monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks.  We use Wordfence Security to protect our website (see above).

Our own website and systems used in providing services through Australia by Red Nomad OZ are protected against (for example) hacking, unsafe links, malware and so on by AVG security. For more information about services provided by AVG go HERE.

Even though we try our best we can not guarantee the security of information. However, we promise to notify suitable authorities of data breaches. We will also notify you if there is a threat to your rights or interests. We will do everything we reasonably can to prevent security breaches and to assist authorities should any breaches occur.

We do not intend to collect or knowingly collect information from children. We do not target children with our services.
